Getting Ready for Standard 1
Short, playful sessions that build early reading, numbers and language, without turning a four-year-old off learning.
Who This Suits
- A child starting preschool who is meeting letters and numbers for the first time.
- A child heading into Standard 1 next year whose parents want the basics steady before the jump.
- A family where English, Bahasa Melayu or Chinese is a second language at home and the child needs more exposure.
What a Session Looks Like
Ten to fifteen minutes, with you sitting next to them. Colourful content, simple audio, and activities that feel more like a game than a worksheet. At this age the goal is familiarity and confidence, not scores.
A Word About Screen Time
This is a screen-based programme, and a four-year-old does not need much screen time. Two or three short sessions a week, with a parent alongside, is a more sensible target than daily use. We would rather say that than sell you on more.
Syllabus
Content follows KSPK, the national preschool curriculum standard, so what your child meets here lines up with what a Malaysian preschool covers.
